About the subject of education coaching

On this website I present my services as an education coach. I can advise and support you in any questions relevant to your education such as the choice of efficient educational methods to achieve your goals, in particular and including non-school methods such as self-study, online study, individual tuition, natural learning, lessons at home etc. I advise and assist both adults and their children.

By education I understand a far greater spectrum than what is provided by schools and universities regarding both content and methodology. In particular, I favour the methods of natural and applied learning in the form of individual tuition and supervised self-study.

As well as my coaching and tuition outside school and university institutions, I also coach students from various disciplines so that they may obtain their conventional, so-called “educational qualifications”, which are needed in many professions in order to be allowed to work officially in the corresponding fields at all. My service for you

Methodology

Within the scope of my service as an education coach I organize the implementation of a comprehensive and naturalistic educational concept for you and/or your children. This of course includes the use of various educational services, courses, private tuition from different teachers, etc. and takes place mainly by way of natural and applied learning. I can also teach you and/or your children myself – for example in German language, literature and philosophy – and also introduce you to other subject areas.

In this I cater to your individual inclinations and preferences or those of your children since only in this way can you and your children remain highly motivated and achieve outstanding success.

I direct the learning process in such a way that you or your children are encouraged and enabled to familiarize yourselves largely independently with the new fields. I see myself as a mentor and coach rather than a schoolmaster in teaching and instructing. My motto is that the learning goal has been reached when the students have got ahead of their teacher.

I thereby pursue the goal of awakening the learners’ innate creative power, releasing their inner power and promoting special talents individually.

I not only provide my coaching for alternative educational paths, such as self-study, home tuition etc. but also for the case that you decide on a conventional educational path, for example a special vocational training or studies at a university.

As far as possible and desired I will coach and/or instruct you and/or your children outdoors, for example in the forest, on the beach or in your garden. Tuition indoors in closed rooms, sitting on chairs for hours, is not suited to children and neither is it very advantageous for adults. The body needs exercise in the fresh air – especially with children – for a healthy development.

I provide coaching, tuition, consultation, and mentoring for all age groups from small children to senior citizens.

Long-lasting and extensive mentoring or tuition (over weeks, months or years) in general promises more lasting success than just a short-term consultation, depending of course on your requirements.

Agency for home teachers

Teachers and students must harmonize. Therefore I provide an agency for home teachers as well as my own services as a home teacher. If desired, I can also provide you with teachers of varying intellectual, religious, cultural, and personal backgrounds. You just need to tell me what you want and I will look for the home teacher best suited to your needs. You determine the criteria for the search for a home teacher, for example regarding lifestyle (e.g. vegetarian and teetotaller), life philosophy and religion, sex, age or whatever is important to you. There is only one restriction on my part. I provide exclusively non-smokers and these only to non-smoking households. Success report about the coaching/teaching work by Mr. Frank Woeckel

during the years 2007 to 2009

In March 2009 I received the reward “Top student of the academic year 2009 of the Institute of Online Education, Beijing Foreign Studies University". I was very happy about this and I want to give my sincere thanks to Mr. Frank Woeckel because I owe my success to his support. In August 2009 I had another exam and I was at the top of my English class.

More than two years ago Mr. Frank Woeckel became my life coach and personal teacher. He suggested that I improve my English in order to advance my career path, to gain useful communication skills, to immerse myself in a wide range of world cultures and to be able to use the internet to its full extent.  This could help me to live in an English-speaking country as well.

He recommended improving my English especially through listening to English Internet radio stations, reading and writing in English, and, above all, he talked  to me in English very often, so I had a great opportunity to practice my spoken English. After some weeks of his support, I decided to start studying English  online.

Mr. Woeckel helped me a lot with my studies. However, I am not going to talk about how he helped me with my spoken English, which he did, even though he is not a native English speaker. I just want to talk about his way of teaching. He told me that everyone has special talents, and very often people do not develop them because they are not encouraged to do so in schools and universities.

Once I got a really bad grade in a writing assignment at my Online School and I did not know why. I was too discouraged to ask the teacher because in similar situations he never gave me a useful answer. He just acted arrogantly and looked down on me because he was a doctor and he was acting as if this made him a better person and I did not know how to solve this problem. During this difficult time it was Mr. Frank Woeckel who motivated me and helped me to get through my crises of confidence. Thank goodness Mr. Woeckel is still a human being with compassion and respect for others and not a conceited doctor. He was patient with me when I made mistakes over and over again and when I did not make any progress in a really long time. When I look back, I believe that I could never have had this success without his support. I even think that I would have given up completely. If an online school is hiring tutors, they should be like him. They should not only have the advantage of knowledge, but, in addition, should be able to teach and encourage the students effectively.

Before Mr. Frank Woeckel became my life coach and personal teacher, I was not confident at all because I rarely got any encouragement like his during my life neither from schools nor from my parents. My mum even discouraged me from continuing my studies when I was a teenager because she didn’t think that I was intelligent enough to succeed in higher education. I almost gave up any hope of improving my education. But Mr. Frank Woeckel lit the hope in my heart and he made me trust in my ability to succeed.

However, it is still unbelievable that I could manage to succeed as a part-time learner at the age of 37. I usually had to work 50 hours a week as an employee in my company. Therefore, I could only learn after work at night and at the weekends.

I would never have imagined that I could make it. As a matter of fact, I almost gave up the courses because I did not feel I was making any progress. Mr. Frank Woeckel encouraged me over and over again to believe in myself.

My success didn’t come at once. I had many difficulties and hard times during my studies. I felt as if I wasn’t making any progress for a long time. During the first year I got very bad grades for the assignments and critical comments from my tutors. Moreover, I failed over and over again in the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) exams, which both Mr. Frank Woeckel and I put plenty of energy and attention into. Whenever I failed in my exams, I felt especially sorry for Mr. Woeckel because I knew that he was eager to hear good news from me and I did not want to disappoint him. However, he never showed his disappointment; on the contrary, he kept comforting me and encouraged me to continue and not to give up. It is amazing that Mr. Frank Woeckel has been able to give all his advice just over the Internet phone. This has worked out excellently in all these years.

I have to admit that Mr. Frank Woeckel is a born teacher – a teacher who can awaken one's inner abilities and develop them.

Mr. Frank Woeckel has been a tremendous support for me in my school curriculum in Chinese Medicine (Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs). He motivated me to study and also prayed for me so that I was able to pass my exams. I was the highest achiever in my exams. I obtained the highest grade in my graduation exam and I also passed 7 other major comprehensive exams at my first try within a 5-month period. All of these exams had a very low pass rate, two of them only 40 percent. No-one else in my Master’s program was successful at passing all of these exams in this short time period at their first try. I worked very hard but Mr. Woeckel was definitely an important factor in pushing me to do my best and helping me to stay focused and be self-disciplined.
